January Match Results & Dog of the Year

Dog of the Year Awards 2025
Over the year we had 210 entries - the highest since before Covid, this was represented by 23 different breeds. The winners were:-
Dog of the Year: Albert - Saluki
Runner Up: Ezra - Border Terrier
Veteran of the Year: Brier - Whippet
It was a close run competition with Albert on 53 points and Ezra on 52 points. Special Mention is also given to Poppy (Beagle) on 50 points and Star (Papillon) on 49 points.

Many thanks to all those who attended our January Match. We are also very grateful to our Judge Arnie Ayres The results were as follows:-
Best Puppy Walk: Hunter - Whippet
Best Puppy: Blanche - Std Poodle
Best PostGrad: Vikki - Papillon
Best Adult: Ezra - Border Terrier (also Best in Match)
Best Veteran: Brier - Whippet
Our next Club night is on Tuesday 17th Feb 2026.

Clubnight 20th January 2026

The first clubnight of the new year is tomorrow (Tuesday). Starting with ring-craft around 7.15pm. This will be followed by the the 2025 Dog of the Year awards (see below). The match will commence around 8.00pm . PS don't forget subs now due.

Best Puppy Walk: Hunter - Whippet
Best Puppy: Guinness - Papillon
Best PostGrad: Paddy - Papillon (also Best in Match)
Best Adult: Ezra - Border Terrier
Best Veteran: Brier - Whippet
Our Fastest Sausage Eater Grand Prix was won by Ezra by a short tail from Albert in the final.

Xmas Members Match and Party!

Don't forget the Xmas match and party is tomorrow night (Tues 2nd December. Special rosettes will be available (no expense spared) for winners. Will look nice hanging from your Christmas tree. Buffet available all you can eat for £1.00. Fastest sausage eater competition will again be held (dogs only). All members welcome.
